baggy clothes

anyone who knows me knows how much i love wearing freer fitting clothing. i am a big ho for baggy pants, loose fitting jeans, and xl sweaters. i think after highschool, my wardrobe took a complete 180. maybe because of having been inside for almost two years, i feel that now, comfort has become a deciding factor in what i wear. of course i need to look somewhat presentable and clean, but apart from that, its free game.

now hear me out, i think i dress very simply given the outfits we see nowadays on social media. if i am going casually out of the house or going to see friends for food, i am almost 99% of the time going to be wearing both; a pair of looser fit jeans/ baggy yoga pants, and either a very simple uniqlo shirt or an ugly ass striped sweater. i like black, i like grey, i like earth tones. i dislike bright tones alot, they are too flashy.

of course, if i need to go into the office, i try to fit the dress code as minimally as possible, i don't believe that clothes should dictate someone's personal work, but we live in a society that doesn't think the way i do so its a shame. in the winter time, i like wearing a simple black ski jacket, or if im feeling cleaner than usual, a black balc-man that my mom bought for 40$ from winners.

my ears are pierced quite a bit, so sometimes wearing a bunch of different silver/black themed earrings is a go. apart from my earrings, i dont accessorize too much. its too much work for me to take things on and put them off. i feel like having a chain around my neck would be uncomfortable, the cold metal against my skin irks me. watches are sometimes a go sometimes a no depending on the situation. i wear glasses because i cant tolerate contacts.

i don't like layering clothes on top of each other either. for me personally, a t-shirt over a sweater or long sleeve shit looks nice, but very impractical, there is too much fabric on your person and not enough movement. i have a similar motivation in regards to undershirts.

pants are a big thing for me and a large point of contention when i am deciding what to wear. a top is a top, its whatever, you can be simple with it. but i think pants are the deciding factor in whether an outfit is a flop or not in my own head.

i was a very overweight adolescent, so my thighs and ass are very big. they make picking jeans and pants very frustrating for me. part of it is a texture issue in a sense. i severely dislike the feeling of fabric so close to my skin, its frankly quite uncomfortable. not to mention when i sit down, they just expand and make the situation worse. not to mention that shopping for pants that fit you well is very annoying. they never seem to fit nicely for me, either the front looks weird (getting a joner), or the overall cut of the jeans accentuates my legs too much, or the back just does not suit my ass well. when i tell you the day i discovered these hippie pants my summer completely 180ed. i ended up wearing them for 4 months straights and loved every second of how much space i had.

i am a picky person with clothes, i admit. but i dress okay sometimes in the end
